Description

We all love the mighty Himalayas. Traditional cowherd/pastoral
communities have been living in the mountain regions of Himachal Pradesh and
Uttarakhand to nurture Himalayan Badri cows for hundreds of years with the best
of sustainable processes. They have rich conventional knowledge and culture
that enables them to practice sustainable use of natural resources. For them,
the cow isn’t a commodity, rather a community member.

In spite of all their value and virtues, Indian cow breeds are being
criminally ignored inside their own native land, owing to a lack of awareness
about the massive benefits and craze for hybrid/foreign breeds. Today we have
less than 40 lakh Pahadi cows living in the accessible Himalayan region.

Crossbreed cows’ milk, consumed by many of us, contains A1 protein which
has negative effects on human health. The hump in Desi Cows has a special vein
called “Suryaketu Nadi” which transmits power from the sun-moon into the milk.
This high-energy cruelty-free A2 milk and its allied products have kept our
ancestors strong all these years.
