Sandalwood Oil or Santalum Album is extracted by steam distillation of the wood of sandalwood tree, native to India. Pale yellow to pale golden in color,
sandalwood oil or chandan oil has an exotic, warm, floral and woody aroma. The antiseptic, antispasmodic, astringent, carminative and sedative properties of sandalwood oil are by dint of alpha santalol, an active bio compound found in the tree. Wholly organic, the ‘Saharogya Sandalwood Oil’ can be breathed in or used topically.
